The mounts can be used in any way, parallel or perpendicular to the TREDS. The TREDS have mounting holes all over them. You can even use one mount if you wanted to.

Well, I have some news to add to my review of the Tred Pro's. After several recoveries, some of them quite rough on the boards, a very simple (could have pushed out if I wasn't alone) recovery in the snow broke one of my boards. Also, 2 of the mount lock handles have now broken.

On the other hand, the lifetime warranty is very quick and painless. Same as @3378jakesr5, I just submitted a screenshot of my backer email as proof of purchase.

It's too bad, as I thought that these boards were supposed to be much more flexible with their new dual compound technology. Looks like Maxtrax still win in the overall durability, although the tred pro knobs don't melt off after the first couple of uses. I definitely wish the mount handles were metal though.

I'll have to submit a claim for the warranty. They definitely get a bit brittle when the Temps are low but overall I'm super happy with them. I agree with the metal handles however I think for the sake of the deciding plastic keeps the metal post from wearing down - it's easier to replace the plastic than the metal post in my opinion. Of course they could do with a different design like anything.

Awesome review especially for the followup. How long did it take to get a replacement and did they supply a box to send the old one back?

They don't make you send the old one back, so you end up with an extra board! They usually approve the claim within 1 maybe 2 business days, and you have the replacement within a couple weeks

Another update to the Tred Pro's... I am starting to believe there is a flaw in their "ramp" area design as I have now broken 2 in the same place, and my other two are just starting to crack there as well. Thankfully their warranty is awesome, and they are replacing them.

I will say though, that I have been using these HEAVILY and would have been hooped on many occasions with just me and my wife. They definitely do their job very well, they just have that one weak point (and even broken, they function fine).
