That's cool, what kind? That something I need to buy yet. But for now I just use my brothers since he hardly ever uses it.

My dad really wants a nice gas or electric auger. I am young enough that drilling holes doesn't bug me. I really want to pick up a nils auger...those things cut through the ice like a hot knife through butter. They have the cordless drill attachment too.

I use a nils hand auger. Love it. They build a power head. Lots of guys are adapting cordless drills with great success

how do you like that vex? @TroutBum I know they carry a pretty heavy price tag, but are they worth it?

Won't go without it! :) Thats the FL18 in the picture, pretty sure I bought it just after they came out. It's got to be 10-15 years old, no issues with it. I'm not sure if some of the other brands have the same longevity, and they all cost a lot...

Decided the weather forecast is not going to be good for the ice over the next week, so checked out a new lake today. Iced a bunch of small perch, then this guy hit.

Got geared up and went out last week in Madison, WI. Got the bait taken off the rod twice and nothing touched the minnows on the tip ups. But still had a great time with buds in the tent.
