    No. It is mounted on the interior light cover... my observations thus far... I can find a way to reach it. It first started vibrating and I notices my rear view image shaking... then when I tried to see if I could tighten it, it came off.. It is a 1996 Model... Very proud of it with only 125K original miles on it..
