Yeah- I'm saying that's a bad assumption too.
I actually bought mine in Atlanta and had it shipped up to CT because there was literally 1 in the New England area and those dealers were marking up.

Nalley in Stonecrest had one on the lot and were willing to deal a bit.

I suspect much of the $8k savings on your OR was based on the same add-ons being deeply discounted since the dealer markups are so high on them. Had you done the same with the pro you likely would have gotten similar negotiations.

    Nope.
Nalley Stonecrest. Talked to Eric Hogue, sales manager. Probably one of the best new car buying experiences I've ever had. Fair, proactive, helpful. They screwed up my out of state title costs and even reimbursed me for the screw up difference.

    Never dealt with Nalley Stonecrest.

The link is from World Toyota in Chamblee.

Did you buy yours at the start of September? Your status says you're waiting for it.

Timing makes a big difference in these things. I was stating things in context of when I bought it. Many places at the time were marking up Pros *above* MSRP and getting people to pay it.

EDIT: FWIW, here is the invoice pricing for the options. Source is the detailed build sheet from my dealer that they inadvertently let me keep. :)

Tonneau 680.90, Cargo Bed LED Lights $185.90, Roof Rack $328.90, LED Illumination Package $273.90, Dual USB Power Port Rear Seat Charge Station $64.90, Paint protection film package $448, Tailgate Power Lock $174.90, Wheel Locks $42.90

Total $2,200.30 invoice vs $2,907 MSRP.

The OR has smaller sway bar if not already mentioned. Colored bumpers, hood, fender flares and 17 inch wheels on the sport. My truck spends more time on the street than the dirt so I opted for the 6MT in sport. Not sure if this is the case on newer trucks but my 2nd gen sports sits 1" higher in the front than my buddies 2013 OR. Both of our trucks were stock and had less than 3000 miles on them when we compared them.

I got the OR about 9000 miles ago. I had originally ordered a Tundra Pro in Unobtanium . After 6 months and 3 dealers later and being told I needed to wait another 4 months, I actually needed a truck but decided to go Tacoma because the physical size of the Tundra wouldn't fit in my driveway. The Pro at that time was only orderable by the dealer with a confirmed customer order. They couldn't just order one from their allotment and let it sit on the lot marked over list price. I liked the Tacoma Pro leather, trim package. It was about 6k more to get it. And undetermined wait time( that I had already had a nightmare with with trying to get the Tundra Pro). After owning the OR for 6 months the only real problems I have had were Interior rattles and the rear springs sagging down 2 inches (replaced with full Dakar spring pack). I also hate my 3rd gen AT, should have gone MT. If I did it again I probably would get a Double cab instead of Access and MT or the Tundra Pro. I also traded in my 2015 Limited 4Runner at a 10k loss because I needed the bed for work. For 10k I could have bought an old work truck Taco, it was about feelings plain and simple.

exactly,,, hell i had a 2001 off road for 12 yrs,, traded it in on a 2014 off road,, month later wished i had my 2001 back,, traded the 2014 off road in on a 2015 Pro,,, pro was great,,,, went to dealer 4 months ago, they had a cement pro on the showroom floor, said i wanted to test drive it, my sales guy says lets take an off road for test drive, because the pro was inside and they were close in ride,,, so i test drove the off road,, wasnt impressed,, said i wanted to drive the pro before i committ,, well they had to move 4 other vechicles out of the way,, after i test drove it,, it was a no brainer........so i traded my 2015 pro in on the 17 cement pro.. love it,, no rattles,, bed doesnt move all over while hitting bumps. my 15 looked like the bad was loose .. no vibrations in steering wheel,,, maybe my 2014 off road was a lemon, but after 8 months i had enough..

its my 10 yr truck. like my 2001 was,,,
