No power problems on mine, unless I'm below 2k rpms, then I just drop a gear. Weird whining sound from the engine though. :anonymous:

Someone posted a thread on it6 today, both the manual boot and the e-brake boot. If they were $50 for both Id jump on it but they dont bother me enough for $100. The ones posted had red stitching and looked really nice.

I had a redline goods boot in my last car (Focus ST). Good quality.

Sometimes affixing the boot to the trim ring at the bottom can be a challenge.

I was hoping someone might know what that job looks like, but I'm willing to give it a try.

    Thanks!

I'd be interested in a Redline manual boot set as well

Sounds like they don't have an option for the manual. Only automatic.

I'm exchanging emails with them about the possibility of developing a shifter and ebrake boot for us.

Like I mentioned before I had a boot from Redline Goods in my last car and they would certainly be my first go-to for this sort of thing.

if the prices are similar to what they're already offering for the AT's then i'd probably buy as well. i'm getting another custom shift knob made and the red stitching will look great with it, plus i like the suede look.

Thanks for doing the contact/development work
    Count me in.
Hope they won't come to the conclusion that there are not enough of the (so much nicer to drive)Tacoma Manuals to make it worth their while.

3rd and 4th are a crapshoot. Sometimes they slide right in, once every so often they crunch in and sometimes it feels so different I'll pull it right back out and back in to tr to replicate and usually get nothing.

Alright back again.... so I have 3200 miles now in under a month of ownership, and here's another thing that makes me irritated about this 6MT/3.5L engine..

Any shifts under 3500 RPM are smooth, but as soon as I punch it, from 2500rpm and want to go to 4000+ it hits a sag for like half second (around 3500) then finally hits it's power band...

Why is the transition from attkins-otto cycle sometimes smooth and sometimes it isnt. I can't replicate it everytime, but it's deffinitely noticeable and is pissing me off.

Also I notice the engine at a stop light was running somewhat rough, looked down at the tachometer, and noticed it was almost at 1000rpm, floated around for a few seconds then dropped back down to its normal idle speed at 650rpm or so.

Does this have to do with the "engine self cleaning" this truck is suppose to do?

I had some occasional resistance going into gear in my 2017. Not always, more often when cold.

Since switching to Ford XT-M5-QS fluid, not a single missed shift.

Did you have the heat on? Mine will usually alternate around 1000 and 600 rpms when the compressor kicks on.

not sure if you are having some issue or if that's a general performance complaint. i think what you're experiencing is likely the transition from port to direct injection. if that's correct, which we can only speculate at this point, then it's software controlled and may possibly be corrected in a custom tune if we can get that far with this motor. I'm hoping so, because DI from something like 1800rpm up sounds worth waiting for, speaking for myself.
