thanks man. this is the place i go to during the run to perfect them. Tons of fish are stacked up at a 12ft concrete wall / waterfall thing so they cant go any farther up the once natural creek but now man made canal, but its still fun to hook into a few kings with a 5 minute drive after school, especially when people save up money their whole lives to catch the same fish up in the PNW.

    Thanks!

I just got my spool gun issue taken care of. This build is a lot more fun when the tools work correctly.

End of November he caught a 27" 10.5 pounder. He tied up a few in December, then posted this pic.

Now that is a lot of bead heads.

There was a time on certain waters that many considered anything but a dry as cheating. And a strike indicator was considered bobber fishing. I don't miss those A holes.

I am no purist. I fish hella rubber and terminal gear intended for the spin guys

However I'll be the first to defend the idea that catching a fish on top equals extra credit lol

It is hard to beat watching a trout come up to your fly and holding your breath wondering if he is going to sip it, slash and slam it, or bump it with his nose and say no thanks. It is very visual. Skues I think is one of the first to talk about the wink, the white flash of the mouth when a trout takes a nymph underwater. There is something to be said for that too. I use a lot of bead head nymphs but if I even think I can use a dry effectively that is the way I'm going. In warmer weather anyhow LOL.

Serious? Reeling in a lct from pyramid is like reeling in a log. Trout that live in lakes are lazy :D

Beautiful fish. I had that in mind yesterday too but the fish at Stone Mountain were not wanting to take anything I gave them.

    Just getting into fly fishing.
purchased a cheap scientific angler rod for $25 at a garage sale.
Been watching a ton of videos trying to figure everything out.

Caught these yesterday just messing around.
