Note that mod at pin 17 allows you to interact with the navi and phone systems as if you were parked. The GPS will not update your location on the map when speed sense wire disconnected. Once the switch is connected, may take ~ 15 seconds for GPS to update your location.

Nice drawing. As for the GPS not finding location, I have had no issue with it. Even with it in override, the GPS keeps up. Obviously YMMV.

    Thanks for this.

I placed my order on January 10th and still don't have it (good thing I'm not in a hurry here). I'm in ND which is a 12 hour drive from here to where it comes from. The package didn't actually leave St. Louis until the 13th, and hopefully will be delivered tomorrow. Not bashing, but just warning that I wouldn't expect this harness to show up Amazon style in 2 days, even when you're 12 hours away from the seller.

Yes, provided it is an On/Off SPST switch.

@Hoangde - might want to tweak that diagram to better illustrate that the diode / switch are add-ons to the wire coming out of pin 2.

Also, the pin locations are from the perspective of looking at the back of the radio, not at the face of the plug that goes into it. Not entirely sure what'd happen if someone got it backwards, but it probably wouldn't be good.

Your order was received at 11pm on Saturday. The post office was closed. It was closed Sunday too. It was dropped at the post office on Monday. After that, I am afraid it was at the mercy of the USPS. I am sure the ice coming through here late last week and the holiday didnt help.

Good thing I didnt claim to be Amazon :)

Hope it shows up soon. If it doesnt let me know.

USPS has been a bit annoying the past few weeks. My harness was supposed to arrive thursday according to USPS tracking yet didn't show until friday. Not your fault of course. I've had other stuff show it arrived in Atlanta then take two days to travel 20 miles to my local post office and go out for delivery. It is what it is.

Maybe if you start charging people $100 per year you can get it to them in two days? :)

I am trying to use this switch.

Will this work and what wires would I connect the 2 cut ends of the speed sensing wire?

From the description/diagram it looks like you'd use the Green and Red1 wires. Double check them with a continuity tester. I haven't yet used that sort of switch.

Man. I am way off. Sort of. My days of the week are wrong. Still it was probably the ice holding up the post. Order was received tuesday night. Went to post office wednesday.

Can I use a single switch to both override SPD lockout and turn on backup camera?
