Hey guys I tried searching this but I'm having trouble finding the answer,
I have a 2016 trd sport. Since I bought the truck I've noticed the transmission seemed a little off and the truck seems to lag alot too. It has all ways felt like I had to push the pedal down for it to go resulting in pretty harsh mpg. But that's not the reason I'm starting this thread. A couple days back I was leaving my house and pulling out the drive way I usually back in because it's easier to drive off then reverse. Well this particular day I put the e brake down (I drive an automatic) and shifted to drive then let off the brake and ,nothing, the car didn't budge. I then tapped the accelerator and heard this extremely loud and unpleasantly violent pop noise in which the truck then jumped in to gear but still feels hesitant to accelerate. I've always noticed I had to fight alittle to put the truck in drive or park. But never was it as violent as that. I never took it in because I assumed this being my first truck that this must have been normal because it's a brand new truck for crying out loud. I got it with 12 miles off the lot. What am I experiencing guys. Please help I'm desperate!!!!

No BRO-ness to speak of... Well, except Kbro2's
Sounds like you may need more than the latest TSB.... if it is low on fluid, demand that they give you the FACTORY 120k mile warranty on the transmission. You will need to call and open a case woth Toyota Customer Care for this. Do not settle for anything less. Low trans fluid from the factory is a known issue woth these trucks.

Does it do this all the time now or intermittently? If it does not do it all the time, I recommend trying to get video of it to show Toyota service.

As far as it not moving any where in drive that was a one time thing I try not to park on the drive way anymore for that reason.

    SEARLES,
I Don't leave the parking brake on as I shift to drive...I'm a valet Attendant I drive for a living I think I'd be alittle smarter then that but to humor you, I thought for a second that might have been the case till I looked at the emergency brake, disengaged, the shift nob in Drive position my FOOT off the Brake and my Truck hanging nose down on an inclined drive way going absolutely no where.

Some times the e-brake gets stuck to the drums after you release it. I've had it happen before in cold weather or after washing the truck.
