Okay thought so... After that, adding the 888 springs and setting the 5100's at 0, does that keep the lift where the 5100's are at full load or does it add a half inch give or take?

Maybe, in the front. 3rd gens are heavier. Springs for 2nd gen tacomas won't lift a 3rd gen as high. The previous post were adressing your rear lift, or lack thereof.

    all tore up already
To give you an idea of lift kit costs i think im around 1500 in parts which include:
-bilstein 6112 shock/springs for the front
    -bilstein 5160 rear shocks
-SPC uca because tires arent cheap
    -3 leaf aal
    -front uca bolts
    -sway bar drop brackets
    -carrier bearing shims

Not needed but highly recommend ecgs bushing to get rid of needle bearing which will likely start an annoying droning vibration. And if you do that might as well drain and fill front diff. Bushing, seal, and gear oil was another 120ish

Got about 2.5" all around going this route. Truck stance is good and ride is much improved. Of course there are cheaper options but be prepared, cheap lift could end up expensive if you start breaking stuff on a newish truck
