    Get:
10 ft Micro USB cable if you don't have one
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Micro-USB...268560?hash=item486c93c3d0:g:hEUAAOSwNSxVevBA

    Mini Tap Fuse holder
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/5PCS-TAP-Bi...753258?hash=item1a20d18b2a:g:FnQAAOSw-0xYPOeL

12V-5V Inverter Dual USB Female Hard Wire Power Charger ( so your cigarette socket available for something else)
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Car-12V-5V-...690535?hash=item3cfd6b12a7:g:MEYAAOSwVFlT~amM

    1. Unscrew 2 bolts at yellow circles, pulled out handle then plastic cover.
    2. RunMicro USB cable as in blue line. Then reattach in step 1
    3. Look for power outlet in fusebox and connect Mini Tap fuse holder to it
    4. Connect 12v inverter to the end of Mini Tap fuse holder.
    5. Connect black wire of 12v inverter to chassis (ground).
    6. Ensure add an additional fuse same rate or less to Mini Tap fuse holder for Camera.
    Done

While you are working at that area, may want to do some mod per my schematic for :
    1. View backup camera anytime
    2. Additional Video input (second camera)
    3. Additional Aux input
    4. Navi / phone access anytime

FYI you can also easily come down the A pillar on the drivers side. The flat SRS Airbag embossed part pops off with a thin plastic trim tool revealing a 10mm bolt behind it. Couple of pics in my F770 dashcam writeup. I ran USB power to the Go Pro mount at the same time I ran my hardwire kit to my F770.

This 12VDC to microUSB adapter had more than enough cable to get to the go pro mount via driver side A pillar. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007O59Z7I

I think some people have successfully pulled 12VDC from the overhead console and added 12VDC to 5VDC converters. It's a bit tight in there for soldered connections though and I'm not a fan of taps.

Agreed, there is not a lot of room to solder. Even taps would be difficult because the wire for the mirror harness is tucked somewhere NOT included with the overhead console. Unless you want ugly t-taps or Positaps sticking out from behind your mirror. No thank you.

There are 3 wires back there: Tan, Blue, Black/White. The Tan is Positive, Black/White Negative. The harness easily disconnects from the back or the mirror for access to the wires. Many radar detectors are installed this way instead of being hardwired.

Are those wires only hot when the ignition is on?

Yes, they power the autodimming mirror and compass if equipped.

I set my dashcam up to auto record upon external power (ignition) and delayed shutdown upon loss of power (ignition off).

The wires and plug are still up in the headliner above the console for a Mirror though.

So the rear view mirror is a 5V? No need for a 12V to 5V converter?

How did u get ur dash cam to fit in the go pro mount?

Some dashcams use 5V, some use 12V. I believe only 12V is at the mirror.

How to mount to the gopro spot will depend on the camera, but if the camera supports 1/4-20 threads a gopro accessory kit should have the pieces.

    Example:

Yeah..I needed the 12v to 5v converter. I removed the overhead console and tucked it in there - fit perfectly. Check out this for the Bill of Materials to use the GoPro Mount. Credit goes to @i8boots ...

I decided to reuse my Mobius from my subaru:
    [IMG]https://www.amazon.com/Mobius-Action-Camera-1080P-Sports/dp/B00DP1WYD2

It attaches to the gopro mount with:
    clip - [IMG]https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FZMIJBU
    custom thumb screw - [IMG]https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IE3JDSU
    3D printed adapter - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:538670

I bought an 12v to 5v converter from Amazon that I pulled the ceiling panel out and velcroed/double sided tape to the ceiling of the truck:
    [IMG]https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00O6R9PCC

I ran a dedicated power line through the headliner (fish tape) then inside the pillar panel (easy remove with two bolts, zip tied to existing wiring out of the way) then fish taped down to the kick plate. From here it runs through a grommet in the firewall to the engine compartment an is then wired to a relayed fuse in my custom fuse box. It has 5v3A of power when the truck is on.

I could totally take pictures one of these days, but I'm not opening up the panels again.

Does the GroPro loop or would you have to delete the videos everytime it fills up?

I picked up one of these last week. I love the features and the wide angle video is great, but it's messing with radio reception. I've determined that it's the camera causing the interference and not the cabling (routed down the driver side A piller, under dash to center divider and into center cubby).

Are you experiencing the same with yours?

    Really?

My radio seem to be fine, I made sure when I stick on the front windshield was clear with any thing, just pure glass.

Perhaps share a picture where you mount ?
