Third time's a charm (not a good luck one, either)

The amount of accidents on supersport bikes is pretty alarming. They have high rates for good reason.

Back in 2005 I bought a brand new TRDSport AC. Less than three months later I was rear ended by a piece of shit Jeep Cherokee. Minor bumper damage to my truck, but my hitch receiver went right through his radiator. His whole front end was trashed. I fought with his insurance for over a year, but in the end, I got my truck fixed, they paid for my rental car(s), they gave me $2500 for diminished value of my truck and $10K for pain and suffering plus paid for all of my medical bills. I sold the truck 15 months later for $1500 less than I paid for it.

I drop it off tomorrow. I'm wanting to see pics throughout, because I have no idea what is under what can only be seen from here. Initial estimate was 30 seconds of damn! followed by "we'll have to tear it apart to really find out what is going on."

That's part of the reason I don't ride any more. Between the way bikers treat cars, and the fact that most of the population is a cell-phone-zombie, you can't stay far enough away from danger. Been hit riding, not fun.

Two techniques for tailgaters, the ones that don’t give a shot about your truck.
1] On the highway get over unless your cruising well above the speed limit and they just want to taunt you- wag em off , that is slow down a bit and cut within your lane left and right if they don’t understand that 2] petal to the metal brother you got the power shake em off, .. its worked for me in the highway... in the city it’s whole nother story....

    Check out Sparebumper.com

It’s a stout energy absorbing tube step or steel plate that looks like it could save your rear end from some damage in a minor to moderate rear end hit.
