I just installed floor liners in mine yesterday, got the new boots on this morning, and that's about it for the immediate future. It came with a tonneau and step bars that I didn't care for at first, but I've decided to keep both. I'm going to wait and see how it packs a load / handles trailer tongue weight before I decide on a set of Ride-Rite air bags ( had them on the Tacoma and loved them), and I might throw some lift coils in front when it's time for shocks. In the meantime, I'm lovin' it.

I'm still probably 2-3 years out from a new truck but starting all my recharch. I have a 08 Tacoma TRDOR With the sr package as well. I love my truck. Never had any issues with it. It has 135k on it. I have recently become a dad 7months ago and instantly my assecc cab taco became to small. I can still fit a car seat in it with the passenger seat way up. It kinda works for now but the plan is from another kid in 2-3 years max. I don't really tow much but will need more space. So looking into tundras. (Used ) probably a used 2nd gen with low miles. I do drive a lot 65 miles a day to work and back. wondering pros and cons of tundras. My options as of now. Are trade the taco for tundra around 25-30k
Keep Tacoma for fun camping overland rig and get a tundra for about 15-20k just to use with the kids and when bigger vehicle is needed.
Or trade for double cab Tacoma same 25-30k range. I know the double cab is tight to with kids
    What do you guys think?

Keep the Tacoma as a trail/fun rig. Buy a brand new tundra supercharged 0%. Give the Tacoma as a 1st vehicle for your kid. Well that's my plan...

keep the tacoma and buy a tundra for your needs. I've had both and the tacoma is way more fun to drive. but the tundra was nice for the extra room and power but not for long hauls. the tacoma is way more practical to me. loved both though. just my .02

Yeah Tundras are cool. I liked the 1st Gens a lot, the 2nd gens I was meh about aesthetically but the new facelift makes em look sweet again.

My Taco is all paid off, mods and all. Seriously thinking about getting a TRD Off Road Tundra and supercharging it. :benchpress::spy::burnrubber:

And I was the exact opposite. Tacoma was ok in town, mainly just for parking, but Tundra was the long haul vehicle and way more fun to drive. But I am 6'2 and 200lbs and the Taco felt way too small inside. Some how they are bigger than the 82-94 toy trucks i have owned, but they feel just as cramped.

The Tundra has way more power and is just so much more fun. My 08 Tundra lifted 3" on 285s gets 2 mpg less than 14 FJ lifted 3" on 265s.

I also have had a couple first and 2nd gen Tacomas and a first gen Tundra. I think the first gen Tundra with the 4.7 was the best with overall interior room and power.

But if i lived in an urban area there is no way I would want to park a Tundra everyday.

I switched from an 08' Tundra to 06' Tacoma DCLB recently. The Tundra can turn way sharper then this Tacoma, maybe not the shorter Tacoma's.

I have no issues parking my tundra. Not much more difficult than the tacoma and all the sensors and cameras help.
As far as space goes I had a DC taco and until I had kids I thought it had plenty of room...until I rode in a crewmax tundra. That's when i knew I had to have one.
Gas mileage is worse but I don't care. I get 12 now and got 14 in my tacoma during the winter so it's really not much worse and worth it for the power, size, and comforts in my opinion.
One thing I will say is I wish I waited and got a 2016, they have 38 gallon gas tanks, while others like mine have 26. That's 150+ more miles per tank and would highly recommend that option.

It's pretty sad to think that trading in your taco to a full size v8 for better fuel economy is a real thing.... the 1 thing I hate about the truck is that I have to visit the gas pump every other time I drive it
