Also heard safety sense was coming to Tacoma in 2018. Expect an increase in price as well though. :( Getting ridiculous a new TRD OR with tech and premium will be $40-42k :bananadead:.

    Three things to consider:
Will the Tacoma get a new grill which houses one of the cameras like the Highlander has in its grill for Safety Sense system?

Will the cubby hole to the left of the steering wheel be filled in with additional switches required for Safety Sense? This could have been the reason for the cubby to begin with.

Will the new 8-speed transmission Toyota developed be added at this time to match the competition, which by fall will include the redesigned Frontier.

I think the days of Toyota not changing much for 10 years on the Tacoma are over as this segment is getting more competitive than it has ever been.

Likely. Just look what they did with the rear power sliding window. Good observations.

Paying attention might have also saved his taco. We will never know.

Wife wife's new Highlander XLE has all the gadgets. I've never cared for all the extras but man, the adaptive cruise control, lane assist, and automatic braking is awesome. I love driving her car now.

I would be happy with a built in garage door opener for my $40k truck.
