Very nice! And every truck should have a name. Love it :)

Those steps will be gone in a matter of weeks, and sliders put on in a couple months!
I'm not sure if the roof racks will stay for the long run. Way down the road will be an rtt. I think its load limit is probably a little too light.

I've only had it on for 2 weeks now. From what I've read, as long as it is applied probably (6+ coats) it should last years. If it gets a good deep scratch in it, there's possibility of peeling. But then again if that happens. It's cheaper to spray some more on than to have the damage you would have had without it there.

    Mod Weekend for Gerald (1/10)
Again, I spent my time off on the weekend to work on Gerald. I need to take some updated photos as the weather turned to crap before I could take any.
    • Installed American Soft tri-fold Tonneau cover
    • installed 6x9 front Kenwood speakers (had to run to best buy last minute for overpriced mounting plates! stupid me)
    • Installed AVS in-channel Vent visors
    • re-dipped grill
    • dipped grill Toyota emblem and rear Tacoma inserts pink to chickify Gerald :p
    • put on blue metal tire valve caps (I hate the flimsy plastic one's that take forever for me to see, now they stand out a 'lil)
    • removed vanity license plate border ("no, this is not my boyfriend's truck" - I think the pink inserts and front emblem speak for that now, helps declutter the truck)
    • Put my bed mat in

Thanks for the heads up! I didn't think about that. Good thing I already had a autozone trip planned for this morning.
Im gessing dipping some on a qtip and putting it on would be good enough?

    Mod Weekend for Gerald (1/17)
Spent only a small amount of time working on the truck this week. Still need to fix some previous things and add lights. I will probably save all the electrical stuff until I have someone with me that knows what they're doing.

    What I did:
    • 6.5" Kenwood speakers installed in the rear doors
    • Clean and organize truck/tools and my rubbermaid actionpacker and put in truck
    • adjust tonneau cover and add tailgate seal
    • try to lessen scratch from the damn hose extender  (meguire's scratch removal ftw!)

Gerald is doing fine. The tornado that ripped through was a good 30mi south of me thank god. Had him parked under the porch, so he got real dirty, but no hail damage! :proposetoast:

I need to update my build progress and plan.
In the beginning process of planning (if it's even feasible) a "great American road trip". Need to figure the math to see what all I need to do.

Awesome thread, and I love the attention to detail you have! Would you be able to post some pictures of your in channel vents? I'm looking to purchase some for Roxanne.
