    Well the 3rd gen's are not immune to rodents making there way into the duct system. After about 15 hours of ownership my blower motor all of a sudden sounded like a blender. Dropped the motor only to find a mouse inside the compressor wheel. I popped the cowl cover and see Toyota has a plastic debris screen at the intake inlet, but the mouse chewed a hole thru that. Somehow he got past the cabin filter without damaging the filter so I assume the filter is not tightly seal.

    Note to Toyota, add metal screen at the inlet.

    I haven't looked for it on my 3rd Gen, but the 2nd Gen's is under the dash on the passenger side. I'd assume it's the same location.

    You'll need to take the glove box out and then unplug it and remove the bolts. Search for it on YouTube, there's a few videos.

    Metal = more money

    Plastic = less money

    Toyota < less money

    I think the air intake is on the passenger side below the windshield.

    They are more pron, especially since most things in the truck are made with rice paper now.

    Considering Toyota uses soybased products for their wiring. Along with most of the automotive world.
