Alabama Meet Up - March 11th

Alright, so @justinalldredge19 and I were talking and we think it's time for a big meet. It's been about a year since our last one at @TacoAlaMode 's place and we have quite a few new members and haven't been able to put a face with your names and we want to meet you. We are thinking central Alabama area probably Birmingham to find something fun to do and most people seem to live in that area (I'm sorry to those of you who have a farther drive).

This IS NOT A RIDING TRIP. Simply a meet/hang out/have fun/make friends trip. Mod days seem to turn into this most often, and riding days you don't really get as much time to have conversation with each other so we can plan those accordingly too. This is simply going to be a meet up.

To decide on dates I have added a poll. PLEASE VOTE for ALL the dates that you can possibly make. I will post on the 2nd post location and details of what/where we are meeting when we decide that.

Any and all suggestions of things to do or place to go are welcome. Let's do this.

We have decided upon a date: March 11th. Again, this is just a meet up. Not mod day, not ride day. Simply so everybody can meet each other that hasn't already, hopefully most people can make it out! This is where I will post the event plans and keep track of the attendees.

Event Plans:
meet-up will begin at 10am

Bring 5$ for park entry fee, and bring 8$ for a Meraki Outfitters patch, 2$ for a sticker

Thanks to Dave we have the idea of going to Oak Mountain State Park. We can plan accordingly to what food people will bring and grill hotdogs or burgers or something.

It looks like we may not be able to get a firm number on who is or will be attending so I personally think food planning will be difficult. My personal vote is we just take some time to go sit down somewhere and eat together. Please feel free to discuss or offer other ideas, I'm fine with whatever.

If it rains, @dcoursler has so kindly offered we could meet at his house.

 

Feb. 25th is my Son's 7th b-day, so that's not even an option for me.

 

All dates voted for because all I ever do is sit around and drink beer.

Not sure yet. February is most likely better than March, it really depends on where?

 

I'd be down for a weekend in March or whenever really. I'm trying to be more active on here. I'm up in Gadsden.

I apologize for not including you in the original quote. I tried to scroll back 15ish pages in the Alabama thread to see who all had posted recently..

 

So location will probably be around gardendale exit off 65, there are plenty of parking lots and places to eat around there. I figured that's a pretty good midway point for everyone especially for guys coming from Gadsden, the shoals, and Tuscaloosa. Only date I cannot make it is feb 18th.

 

Maybe I'll have my tires by then

I have no idea what my schedule is for Feb yet. I'll have to see what one weekend of the month I have off to commit. I do have the the 28th through 3rd of feb
