Nice, OK thanks. That's stating that it is Xenon filled as well, so I could only imagine how much better it would be.

I may try these next if my Sylvania burn out too quick.

I couldn't tell you about HID's but I did see multiple people on here saying the Morimoto HID kit that is popular (don't know the name) had an issue with shaking and Morimoto had no idea what was causing it. So they didn't have a fix. That was what I saw from their LED feeler thread. I would definitely go with another kit.

What kind of bulb life are people getting out of the H11 or H9 bulbs? The package I saw said 150 hours for H11 bulb and the average person runs 100 hours per year. My headlights are alway on so it seems like I would be spending $50 on bulbs every 6 months. I am used to sealed beams lasting years, not months.

Yes from what I read and see it's not a good kit. But I know for sure the diode dynamics HID kit is all top of the line with HYLUX brand I believe was mentioned earlier in the post can buy from eBay for a good price also CNLight bulbs are top of the line the kit from them is $150 think I'm going to go with that and some LEDs in my fogs

@I'mTheDude Here you go bud. Side by side comparison with stock Osram. I took 2 photos.

I"m actually quite surprised how well the stock Osram (right/passenger) is almost as bright as the Sylvania (left/driver). You can barely tell the whiter color on the left side, so it isn't as shocking of a change as in my wife's RDX. Perhaps in the RDX it was 3 year old halogens that mattered.

I guess I may just end up doing HID after all. I'll give these some time to see how they do.

I'd like to follow up on my post here, as a matter of fact when i was driving on a road with lots of reflector signs and barricades from construction, these headlights were amazing! The squirrel spotters shined an HID-ish hue of white far away that lit up the reflectors, while the beam ahead of you is still a little bit more "warm color" hue. I'm very happy with the performance of these bulbs.

It would be best to go with the orasm silverlight bulbs. I did some research on them and while it's the "same" company, the orasm bulbs are made in Germany and don't have the blue film over the lens. The blue film on the silverstar ultras is what creates the "white" look but actually counter productively decreases the amount of light that brought through, the human eye is just more sensitive to the more whiter light which gives the impression of it being brighter, it's like how TV's come with the blue jacked up on the picture setting to make it more attractive to the human eye when in reality makes the picture worse.
I have seen that the RX350 non-rfs projectors are a bolt in to replace the halogen projectors, paired with a good set of D2S HID bulbs will be the most superior light output, but a 4300-5000K HID kit will be sufficient as well.
As to the 2 stroke LED kit it's definitely the most impressive PNP led kit I have seen. Most are just terrible for actual usable light

The stock Osram bulbs are great bulbs, don't get me wrong. Just to clarify, these Sylvanias do not have the blue film fully covering the glass. Only top and bottom sections. What I've learned is the tungsten is thinner, which burns brighter and doesn't last as long as Osram because the tungsten burns thru faster, but that's how they achieve the brighter light.

In my opinion, it is no trick to the eye with respect to how signs light up in the squirrel spotters of the projectors. It is quite amazing. The trick to the eye is the cooler color hue in the squirrel spotters because of the film to where it actually does look a bit HID. Just in squirrel spotters mind you, not the entire beam.

But enough "off topic" with this :D I don't want to highjack the thread.

I have been running the morimoto hid low beams/fogs and the vleds led high beams. after about a year i noticed one of my low beams wasn't the right color and the light output dropped. took a picture and after a few emails the retrofit source sent me a brand new set of bulbs! very happy with my experience with them. now i have noticed that one of the vleds high beams has one of the two leds not working and the other side will occasionally flicker indicating that it is failing too.
the vleds has a one year warranty which passed a little bit before they failed. they are also now 200 bucks instead of the 150 i paid - a halloween discount.
almost all of my driving is at night so assuming that i bought another set from them..... i would be looking at 200 bucks every year or so on high beams.
I am trying to explore my options for high beams ... any suggestions?

I actually just ditched my Opt7s because they took a shit on my road trip on a dark, unlit Utah highway at 4 in the morning when there wasn't a moon out. They dimmed on me shortly after I originally bought them and now I've replaced them with the RSI LEDs and am much happier. I put about 12-15k miles of low light and night time driving on the Opt7s, I've got less than 1k so far on the RSIs. RSIs throw light further and are much brighter than the Opt7s. If they last longer then they will beat the Opt7s in any useful metric. The only issue with the RSI bulbs is its an extremely tight fit.

I've tried brighter halogens a couple times. Their lifespan is significantly reduced. They certainly have better light output compared to standard but burn out wayy too fast. It is shitty getting surprised with a headlight out every few months compared with every couple years, or more.

Not worth it IMO. I spent about 100 on my HID kit + harness and it will definitely pay for itself in the long run. It's been about 8 months so far and still going strong. Other members here have run it over 1-2 years without issues or replacing bulbs so far as well. Check out the hylux HID thread.

Well over a year now of running the Hylux Hid with 4300 H11b and HD relay harness. Excellent performance with Zero issues with a lot of time spent pounding on gravel roads. Moromito Xb 5000k fogs have also done an excellent job , working in conjunction with the Hylux low beams.
BUT. I'm Still looking for a Good high beam replacement for the upgraded H9 65 watt bulbs I am currently using. Not that I am totally unhappy with them. Just would like something a wee bit brighter for highway driving.
So what has been found to be the brighter, most reliable high beam replacement in 4300K to 5000K ???
