I have my tacoma and my Dodge Dakota and I would like to use my dakota as sort of a "beater" but I dont want to have both on insurance. Is there an insurance feature to quickly put on or take off insurance on a truck?

    Yes.

If you have multiple vehicles you can have seasonal insurance if you wish. For example you can insure your Tacoma June-dec and Dakota other months or however you choose.

Having said that check your state law because most states require you to carry insurance if your vehicle is registered and the system is elecrornic these days

I have a few vehicles I drive only in summer. What I do is PNO all year and then I pay registration and insurance for summer months.

Additionally if you have many vehicles you can do mileage limited insurance which will keep your rates low on the vehicles you drive very little

Insurance is like dating. It is different for everyone. Call your company , explain your situation and see what their offers are

    Good luck

I can just call mine and say drop it. Add it back when you're driving it. You just don't want to be caught driving it without insurance.

I did it but not as a seasonal thru State Farm a while back. After a few cycles on & off (not like I was only insuring for a month at a time) they decided they no longer would cover that vehicle.
