    Anyone seen my wallet?

The sd3 is showing 500w RMS, my sub channel is 600 watt nominal at 2ohms. Im currently running it on a 4 ohm sub at 350w. Is 600w too much on a 500w rms sub?

No. I am running both mine off a 1200 watt amp. Also if you only want to send 500w to it you can adjust the gain to only push 500w....

That is what I am talking about!

Also... @Zac of all trades know anything about Infinity Primus speakers? Looking at Infinity PR5002is for rears and PR6500cs for fronts.

They look like they will be good speakers... they will defiantly sound better than your stock system.

I usually am underwhelmed by just replacing the stock speakers without putting an amp to them. The speakers want 70w RMS... stock head unit does maybe 18-20w RMS per channel. Usually they do sound a little better but if they had amp you would be much more impressed. but that is my opinion.

I say get them and install them. If you feel like you need to power them, get an alpine power pack and that will wake them up for sure!

@ETXTacoma one thing you might want to consider in your upgrade is water proof speakers for when you have to go through water crossings... These are great speakers! They take a bit more power but are all around better speakers.

I bought them, then decided to get a full set of Hybrid Audio's, and never installed them. Check them out and let me know if you are interested. I will let you have them for $75...

Thanks for the info, this is still a long away project now that I bought TREDs and going to get Rotopax as well.

But I really want to do sound deadening on the doors soon... I think I may have to take my door apart to clean the window seal... think I got some mud there and it sounds horrible when using the window.

grab you a bottle of ford mini vent window lube, its kinda pricey at $21 a bottle (i can sell it for cheaper than that if youre near lewisville) but its awesome stuff. Ive had a bottle in my toolbox for years and a little goes a long ways. It doesnt hold dust in the track like dielectric grease will.

Thanks! Going to clean the truck today hopefully so will see how it sounds after the window is actually clean, have not used it at all since it started making the noise.

Hahaha. yeah mine is the same way! Sounds like i have sand paper installed and my windows are scraping against it! Still covered in mud also. Havent had a chance to wash it.

I did spray off the excess mud though, driveway is looking like red dirt road now...

Hey @SuperBad What was the bumper you said you had ordered? I remember you mentioning it and I like the look of it. You got me looking at front bumpers now. Any chance you are installing your self? I would love to come over and help. If I end up getting the same one it would be great to have installed one before hand. :D

I just left it out in the rain the other day.

However, i heard if it gets on the windows seal, it can be a pain in the a to remove... so may end up taking the door apart and cleaning it up better.

Should just go ahead and buy the sound deadner stuff.

I washed mine the other day and got some squeaky leaf springs now. Other than that good as new. Any advice on the leaf springs?

I always have squeaky leafs, especially if you have Dakars. I just live with it now. Not bad when it is cold, but when it gets hot it gets worse.
