    still stock...
    hey folks,

New member here, but long time lurker. Have had the '16 6MT TRD OR for about a year now, first time ever having a truck in almost 30 years of driving. Just wanted to drop a line for thanks for the never ending supply of great info. I guess if I had a single % of the mechanical talent I read here, I would have done some of the suggested mods to the truck but, let's just say me and tools ain't friends.

As a noob to off roading, I will say I've done Joshua Tree, Old Dale Road to Gold Crown Road and Geology to Berdoo. I will also say I was happy I was with someone for Old Dale Road to Gold Crown Road. It wasn't long after that I got a recovery kit and realize I was stupid for not having more rescue type of equipment with me. Geology is nice and easy and you have the turn loop before you get to Berdoo and really Berdoo has one tight rocky spot otherwise I thought that was pretty easy too. Hope this helps for any other noobs out there. I've been to Anza Borrego (hopefully my avatar pic shows the truck in a non flexing position which is from Anza Borrego) which is pretty awesome and highly recco GPS as being in the canyons it is pretty easy to get disoriented. I plan on doing Cleghorn (careful of the off shoots, ty forum) and hit up the local OHVs, ie Hungry Valley.

Had a rock hit the windshield the other day and have about a 30" crack and going to replace so will post in the local thread started on windshield (trying to give back what I can to the community).

Don't worry, all posts won't be this wordy. :)
