You're talking to a sound engineer. Perspective.

I'm not an audophile but I appreciate great sound. It's why I still have an awesome sounding analog home system, vinyl, etc.

For my truck I have a 160 gig iPod, loaded with lossless or 320 kbps MP3s, hooked up my head unit.

just swap the whole axle and reboot the old one and keep it as a spare, but yes needs to be replaced (Ive been driving on a busted one for months now) diff drop would only help but according to some people on here it doesnt do a whole lot, so just do the boot slide mod

That's when you need high angle CVs.

Yea no doubt. It's amazing. I love doing it. I also love sitting in quiet all time.

I like you cab. I want to do the Rammaudio stuff to mine. Hate how loud the cab is.

Also no such thing as lossless mp3s :p the whole premise of mp3s is data compression. Actually adds noise. Kinda crazy really.

I definitely need sound deadening. The rattles in the doors get to me on heavier music. I typically don't go past 20 on volume, 25 when playing YouTube or 3rd party music sharing.

How is everyone mounting aftermarket tweeters in the stock tweeter wells (2002 SR5)? The previous owner removed the speaker along w/the bracket that attaches to the panel. Thanks.

Heh...heh...a good number of years back (12ish?) I had to deal with having horribly low storage capacity, right? So I had all my music files at 128kbps mp3. ~1mb per minute. Worked great. And I mostly listened on shit speakers, so I wasn't hearing a difference anyway.

Jump to current day. With over a decade of listening to 128kbps mp3, I have tuned my ears to "shit" sound. I still listen to everything at 128kbps mp3. :crapstorm:

I just don't have any truly high quality speakers to make use of high fidelity sound, and with a libaray of over 3K songs, I don't want to start "fixing" it. I've listened to my buddy's FLAC library on his like $800 over-ear headphones. Frankly, I didn't notice much difference. Perhaps slightly, but nothing nearly enough to ever convince me to convert.
I do appreciate production quality and overall skill in sound, but (ready for flak), you can appreciate those things and not have high fidelity audio. They are related, but not mutually exclusive.

1484780251166-1597677495.jpg Just went through the local carwash chain and they had to read me all of safety paperwork. I was told that my cube lights, antenna, bumper, and sliders could become damaged in the wash. I told the guy I'd be surprised if it could and he gets extra points if it does. Came out nice and shiny, truth be told I only wanted the underbody wash but you have to pay for the rest of it.

Bumper and sliders could get damaged in the wash lmao

I share your sentiments about the underbody. I wish there were an underbody only option at carwashes. But I have yet to find one. It would cost less, it's what I really care about washing, and while most are fine (and have been time after time), certain stickers are at risk for damage :anonymous:
