Load Range? Tire Weight?

So, I was on the way to work this morning at stuck my truck! Sorry no pictures. Stuck it all the way to the front bumper. Put it in 4hi 4lo....no luck in the "black gumbo" around here. I honestly believe it would not have mattered what tire I had on my truck. Right now my truck has bridgestone HT(s). How does a 4x4 come w/HT(s)?

Anyway, here is the question.

Mudding and/or going through mud...doe the physical weight of the tire have anything to do w/the ability to go through the mud. Example: Load C vs. Load E.

Part 2....would a Load E tire prevent the sidewalls from blowing out better than a Load C tire. Example: Off-Roading (hitting rocks).

Part 3....Since BFG A/T KO have 3plys for the sidewall would it prevent the sidewall from blowing out better than a 2ply.

What is the technology difference between let's say Bridgestone A/T vs BFG KO's.

Yes, weight matters...the lighter the tire the easier the truck can turn them...which is also why a lighter tire=better mpg.

Yes, E rated tires have stiffer sidewalls and would hold up better to offroading over jagged/sharp rocks...for both questions...

For example...it seems that all BFG AT KO are made with "Three-ply polyester carcass–TriGard® construction" so....the 'ply' number does not change with the load ratings C, D, E...so each of those load ratings have 3 ply's but have different load capacities which means stiffer sidewalls. The sidewall stiffness is what increases/decreases the load capacity and what has the biggest affect on ride quality.
