I've been compiling a list of stuff I need to do on the truck before LBL and I realized I have never done anything with the transmission fluid. I've seen some people say that you don't really need to and then there are others that drain and fill every 15-30k miles. Opinions? Violent reactions? Anyone?

My next order of business is the front diff and transfer case fluid changes. Haven't done those since I bought the truck at 59k and I'm at 108k now. Rear diff was changed at around 75k I think. The mechanic back home said he only changes that every 90k so I'll just leave that for now.

Cut & broke off some stuff.
i do rear dif 15-20k, front dif & trnsfer case 25-30k.
    Transmission i just do a drain/fill (approx 3 qt) at 20-30k.

If I didn't have the weight of armor, shell, etc and was easier on it in general, i would go longer on intervals.

My old prerunner i didn't do 1st dif change until 60k and trans until 120k maybe.

Thanks Everett and Zack, but I forgot to check back and already have the clips on order. Appreciate the offer though. Finally got my redline hood struts on that I've had for months. Also switched out the damn Relentless ditch light brackets for cbi ones. Muuuuuch better. And best of all, after sporting these primer fenders for almost 18 months, truck goes in the body shop Monday morning.

US Army. Hated coffee then. Hate it now. Will drink a cup if I'm freezing to death. Wife drinks ICED COFFEE. Takes away every redeeming value it has.

USS Robert G.Bradley FFG 49, Charleston , SC. 1988-1992. Four years of sea duty though, bue nose, shell back, a few non English speaking women, and around the world a few times. It was still the Cold War, so we were Commie hunters. Soviet sub hunters to be exact. Those were the days....as they say.

True true but I'm a recovering sweet tea addict. I used to drink probably two tall glasses everyday. I was able to put on 10 pounds DURING my freshman cross country season. That's no bueno. As for unsweet tea, I just don't like the flavor.

I thought it was amusing that when in the "south", even where I live, right on the Ky.-Tn. line, go to a restaurant and order tea, and you will be asked "sweet, or unsweet", but when I went to Denver or pretty much any place "up North", for a visit, they don't even ask, since "sweet tea" seems to be a southern thing...

Sweet tea is a southern thing for sure. You go anywhere up north or west it's all normal tea.
