Did I read right on the Toyota website that all '09 tacomas comes standard with an LSD?
If so how much will it be (cost and work involved) to get one for my '08 5-lug?

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
its an "auto LSD" thats different than a regular lsd...and yes its standard on 09's. thats y the sport is a cheaper package now than the offroad. as to the difference between the lsd and the auto lsd is something for janster to answer

Auto lsd = worthless except in snow. Had that on my GTI only helped me to not launch good and to had bad experiences in winding roads. Nothing like having different wheels start braking to "correct" your skid... (that was part of the setup, not really the lsd)
That Auto LSD did making getting up a gravel incline one time impossible. It applies brakes to the wheel without traction to attempt to force the other wheel to lockup. Nothing like burning your clutch and not moving the car at all.

I think I'll just stick to my plan of a 7.5" ARB air locker, just keep saving.
