    Hello everyone.
I am doing some planning for my truck, specifically focusing on suspension. I would like to go for a long travel kit from total chaos. However being that I only work part time and have daily expenses and truck payments. I am finding it difficult to save money for the truck. However I have quite a bit of money saved and I am very close to having the truck payed off, I can start modifying more and more. I would like to focus on rear suspension first. I talked to a shop that I bought my rims and tires from however they are quite expensive. 3700 was the total cost for a deaver pack customized for my application with timbren active bumps. Fox 2.0 with dsc and extended brake lines. However I have seen on here people using chevy leafsprings and I could see the benefits mainly for me the price difference. I have priced out an effective rear suspension for a lot less. So I guess what I am asking, is should I do the chev springs or suck it up and spend the money. I also want what will help retain better fuel econ and not comprimise reliability.

I've personally never seen anyone put them on a modern Tacoma. Mostly pickups from the 80's and 1st gens.
You must get a new front spring hanger and weld it on the flat part of the frame forward of the stock spring hanger due to them being so damn long.
For the rear shackle hanger, you can either go with a double shackle set-up (very popular) or weld on a new hanger back about 4 inches from stock.

Thank you for the replys, I am only looking at doing this because it is quite a bit cheaper and I will have to read the chevy 63 forum
