    Hey all,
I am wanting to change the bearings in my AP LT setup, I have the original gen 1 version. Yes I am aware that there is better stuff out there, but with how I use my truck this is fine (expo/wheeling). I contacted AP but have not received any info in response so I searched, came up w nothing and figured I would ask.

Does anyone have the bearing size/part #'s handy for this kit? I am also looking for info on the rod ends in the HD steering setup. I realize I could rip the truck apart to figure this out, but it is my DD and I would like to get the new parts before tearing it down.

    Thanks for any help

Gen 1 LT bearing should be the same as the standard-length UCA bearing: The matching FK P/N is COMH20T (only one FK offers with a 1.25" bore).

Can't help you on the HD steering rod ends. If All-Pro is unresponsive, you would have to take one off your truck, measure, and find a matching one here: http://www.fkrodends.com/Downloads/FK 2015 Industrial Catalog.pdf You may even be able to find a equivalent P/N in stainless steel.

Awesome, much appreciated, pulling the tie rod off is simple enough.

Lower arms take a 1" uniball, FK part number AIN16T.
Upper arms take a 1.25" uniball, FK part number COM20T.
HD tie rod ends take a 3/4" high misalignment uniball, FK part number JMXL12T

The misalignment spacers on the tie rod ends may be a bitch to get out. Be prepared for that fight.

I would recommend ditching the HD steering. All it is doing is transferring the weak point to being your steering rack rather than the tie rod. I went through two power steering racks figuring that out, and a whole lot of tie rod ends as the bearings wore out very quickly.

    Super appreciate the info!

I have been wondering if my rack is getting hammered, there is an odd slop I can't find.. maybe that's it.

    Thanks sir.

Pop your tie rod boots off (don't need to remove them completely, just slide down to the center of the tie rod so you can see both uniballs at the same time. Have someone gently push the steering wheel back and forth. Watch the uniballs for play. You can also do this with the front end on jackstands while you push on the wheel/tire.

Check the tightness of your lower control arm uniball adapter. I have noticed that is the point that likes to work itself loose on this kit, at least for me. And of course, the UCA/LCA uniballs can get slop in them as well. I'd also take a look at the bushings in your power steering rack where it mounts to the frame.

I chased slop in my front end forever. Finally got it under control by replacing all four uniballs at the same time and swapping back to stock (extended) tie rods.
