I hear you, but the dog was the last one to piss the wife off and he got neutered that day. I don't want to test my luck lmao

Been in my house for three years now and still have tons of finish work to do (doors, molding, trim). I did a bunch before I moved in. Kind of put the truck on the back burner for the time. With in the last 6 months I've done stuff to the truck. I kind of jump back and forth from house to truck. Kind of feels like I keep getting a new truck and then a new house. Congratulations on your house!

Yea that's my plan, my shocks are starting to really rot cuz the salt on the roads.. that's why I was original getting new shocks.. so that's why the wife wants me to get the shocks before we get into the house and then down the road having an issue with the vehicles

    Just my $0.02 worth...

If you have a good down-payment (20%), then I'd say go ahead and get the truck fixed. If not and that $ will get you there / closer, then don't. Paying PMI is a waste of money, and if you can avoid it then you'll be $$$ ahead.

I just bought a house in October, and now that we have a mortgage payment again I'm hesitant to make any major purchases....

Luckily we have like $9,000 down and with the VA loan no PMI and locked rate of like 3-3.5 so looking at like $1200 a month which is $200 more then we pay now to rent
