I have and adore KM2s. I've been convinced there is no better tire for KY that you can still daily.

You with your Kings and Dirt King uppers hit that hill just a tad bit quicker than I.

I won't settle. Even if I had $1k dedicated for tires, I couldn't swallow spending more than $700 absolute max!

Btw, I bet I can hit that hill faster and give less fucks. Before and during.

After, when I see how bad my truck is hurt, I'll care a little lol

If I do put a mark on my truck, it'll be due to me using too much skinny pedal and hitting something.

i'm not saying i think my KO2's are bad tires. As far as function goes, I have zero complaints. They have never disappointed me. This 4Runner has really impressed me with these tires on it. Gone up hills I never expected it to scale with ease. And the road manners are as good as I could ask for. It's just, sometimes I wonder... if I had spent roughly $300 less on Grabber AT2's or similar would I be just as satisfied? Granted, I don't do super gnarly stuff... I've barely modified my suspension.

    In my size 265/70/17....
    KO2s - $208 per tire
    Grabber AT2's - $140- ish per tire
Falken Wildpeak AT3W- $130- ish per tire

Are KO2's really $250-300 better than some of the other options?

10 bucks I can make hammock pole to tie to and the other end to your truck. And I found this out this weekend works good for recovery too.
So you take three 1 foot boards and drill a hole in them in the middle. You then ties rope to them thought the hole and tie one end into a knot. Dig three holes 10, 12,and 2 place the boards in the holes with long way horizontal to the center pole. The rope comes out of the holes toward the middle of the clock dial. Cover boards with sand snow dirt what ever. Then take the long pole in the center of the dial and dig it down 1 foot. Tie all three of the ropes to the top of the center dial pole. Once done tie hammock to center pole and the other end to your truck and you have a cheap hammock setup. Adjust the truck for proper tension and spacing.
This can also work for recover as I have seen someone takes hi lift jack tie a strap to it in the middle and bury it about a foot to create a land anchor for winching out.

Got a couple friends with Wildpeaks that do high volume of highway miles. They tell me their tires are wearing rather quick.

Had KO2's on my Dodge (3/4-ton) Avoid real mud. Over-rated tire.

Like my Duratracs. Passing 40K and they're showing little wear, make just a bit of noise, but I actually LIKE some tire noise. Let's me know I have a real off road tire.

Probably going 255/85/16's, either Cooper of KM2. Deciding factor is, I have to get 40K (at minimum) or else be replacing them too often for the budget to withstand.
