I have a lifted 2013 DBSB OR , it is supercharged 2.85 pulley, stock exhaust manifolds and will be installing a URD Y pipe. I want it to breathe but don't care for the V6 ricer rasp prefer to be as stock sounding as possible any muffler suggestions?

I don't wanna throw out some stuff u don't wanna hear but, in this video, they basically say that around 350 hp 2.5" and 3" are the same so unless u just have to run 3" u can save some cash and weight with 2.5"

I second the magnaflow. When I was searching for a muffler I wanted the most quiet performance muffler I could find. I looked for the biggest Magnaflow that would fit under my 04. It turned out to be exactly what I wanted. Love the sound and performance. You can't really tell it's a straight through muffler till I accelerate. Extra cabin noise is extremely minimal. Typically only gear heads can tell I have something by the signature magnaflow sound. It's been on there for a decade I believe and sounds exactly the same. I see no justification in paying so much money for a noisy cat-back system that might get you a few extra horses. Sorry can't help you out too much with measurements being we have different rides. I'd suggest taking some measurements under your truck and see what you can fit.

OP this is an aspiration of mine as well (1st gen). I have to get a different muffler to fit a bud built trac bar, otherwise I'd just rock stock till the wheels fell off. But because of this I felt instead of keeping OEM piping size and some OEM'ish muffler that allows fitment, might as well increase diameter and future proofing for a CX kit I'm sitting on.

On my turbo'd IS300, I used 3" piping and to keep it quiet I used a Vibrant resonator and a dynomax VT muffler. The Dynomax muffler has a spring loaded valve inside of it so that at low load its supposed to prevent drone.

I'm not impressed enough to go this route again on another setup, the dynomax muffler shows signs of being extremely cheap and like that youtube vid (watched it coincidentally some time ago, assuming its the same one I watched) you can see the internal piping diameter narrow down, not maintaining 3" strait through. Second I must have gotten a gen 1 that didn't have metal mesh lined on the valve so you don't hear a loud clunk whenever the valve closes. So if I'm going big (3") I'm looking for the uber rare brand of muffler that is actually 3" but invests in enough packing its quiet, and if going 2.5" (not putting CX kit on), still want something of flow quality vs. all the cheap wanna-be OEM replacement mufflers that are smaller diameter inside than what the end pipes are.

From past experience I'm thinking my only option is just additive placement. Modern performance strait through mufflers (effectively giant ass resonators) and performance resonators do not affect exhaust flow that drastically/negatively, and you likely wouldn't notice a power difference between one brand X true 3" muffler, or two in series (hell maybe not even notice 3 in series)- heck the exhaust guru interviewed in the vid makes the argument the louvered mufflers/resonator walls are better to flow that strait pipe! So that in mind, my approach will be 2 high quality strait through mufflers or resonator/muffler combo to get the overall note quiet, and whats left over hopefully very deep- and again keeping in mind the old adage that muffled exhaust sound = exhaust restriction does not really apply these days (case in point guys not getting any impressive gains on newer sport compact cars doing full exhaust- such as S2000s which are extremely quiet stock)

Thank you all for your insight and suggestions seemed pretty straight forward but I have much homework to do it seems.
