Is the 2.7L engine a DBW throttle setup.

    Was wondering if the current 2.7L VVT-I engine used a drive by wire throttle? No real issues. Just noticed that when the truck accelerates on cruise, the gas pedal does not depress by itself like all the other vehicles I have had.

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    I belive all the newer Toyota engines are drive by wire. I cant find any lit. on it, though.

    Ya they are throttle by wire if you look at your thottle body that sits on top of your intake monifold you will see a little motor and connector instead of a cable thats how you can tell.
