There is no correct type. It's really any spray paint that is used for plastic. Krylon fusion works well but everyone has their preference

Replaced the grill with an @customcargrills.... soooooooooooo much better than the chrome monstrosity

Okay guys I've gotta question that I couldn't find.

Will the 2nd Gen JBL sub woofer and amp work in the 3rd Gen. I found an amp and sub from a 2011 for 100 asking.

What do you guys think?

 

Ive seen pictures of people dipping the front grille black, which looks good and to keep me happy til I replace the grille, then the toyota emblem is another color. Does the toyota emblem detach from the grille?

Yeah it does, once you take the whole grill out, theres one screw in the back of the emblem and like 4-5 tabs I think and then it pops out

 

Just add the kit to the unholey mount and it includes 2 ram balls, arm, and perfect squeeze. There is a 10% TW discount as welll.

Yeah I'm on stock OR suspension. It's gotten through all obstacles so far (no issue with Level 6 trails on TrailDamage), so I'm not in a huge rush to update with something else. The Moab / 5 main national park trip is more of a camping trip than a technical trail trip. The rack was made by @3378jakesr5 with Adventure Off Road Fabrications. 11" mid-height rack with hi-lift and quick fist mounts. RTT is the CVT Mount Shasta tent. Came with the annex included in the price. Also got it 20% off during the TacomaNation group buy. Locked the hi-lift (48") and the shovel down with bike locks. Hoping that those give me a little more piece-of-mind when I park her outside, unattended. Bought locks long enough to strap into my containers that will be in the bed. Also running stock size Duratracs. The only other thing I see me doing prior to the trip is installing led ditch lights since I'm not impressed with the stock lighting so far.

I forsee this trip as giving me the mod-bug and finding various reasons why I need to invest in a lift and sliders.

it was dark, so the flash kinda screwed up the coloring, but i finally finished my grill..... satin black grill and color matched Tacoma emblem and TRD badge
