Added the black vignette so the images blend a little better. Also like the look of B&W. I cropped them to 1280x680, but there's some vertical space leftover. Maybe 1280x740?? Just a guess.

After a lot of reading forums, trying multiple things, and cussing at my radio I figured out my problems. I have a 2014 Toyota Tacoma with an Entune HD Radio Plus. I recently updated the firmware, so I don't know if this applies to everyone else or not. Here's all the things I made sure I was doing correctly:
    1. I made sure the directories on the USB were named exactly as specified in the manual, and in multiple posts.
    2. I tried different file names - short, long, no spaces, no special characters.
    3. I tried formatting my USB drives, and used different drives.
    4. I tried files over 2 MB to as small as 48 KB in size
None of that mattered in my case, I kept getting the error that the radio did not find any files.

I use Adobe Illustrator a lot, so I was using it to create and export the JPEG images. I tried opening a file in Microsoft Paint to reduce the file size, and saved two different copies - the Illustrator JPEG export and the Microsoft Paint JPEG file reduced in size. The radio saw one of the files and I could transfer the file. So I started playing with the files in Illustrator again, and eventually tried a smaller size canvas to create the files and exporting them in 72 ppi. This still did not make a difference. So I tried exporting the file and then opening it in Microsoft Paint, then saving it. This seemed to work, the radio could read the files and transfer them. Then I tried increasing the the resolution back to 300 ppi, and the radio could not see the files again. I backtracked and used the 72 ppi resolution, always re-saved the files with Microsoft Paint, and the files could be seen by the radio, but there was ratio was off. I believe that part of my issue is what format Adobe Illustrator saves the JPEG. So I eventually came to this set of steps that I hope helps others:
    1. Image dimensions = 640 x 340
    2. Resolution = 72 ppi (tried 300 ppi, but I had to reduce the file so much it became very distorted and pixelated)
    3. Use Microsoft Paint to re-save the file. There may be some difference in the program you're using to create the JPEG file. Even though JPEG is a file type, there are multiple settings you can use to create a JPEG file and Microsoft Paint must use a format that the Entune radio is expecting (just my guess).
    4. Make sure the file is under 60 KB in size.

I always use .jpg images sized 1280x679 and have never had an issue, regardless of file size and I tend to use large high-res images and crop them down to size.

Here's some new ones I put together recently -

Does anyone know if a touch screen will plug and play into a 12 I have a regular CD player right now the black one and wanting to put screen in it but didn't know if there was something I needed for it to fit thanks. Pictures below is the CD player I have right now and of course the screen in the other picture and it does fit perfectly just seeing what else I'll need to plug it in.

Anyone try the USB reformat with a MAC? I has to use my old PC to reformat the drive to FAT32, then it worked like a charm.

I had a heck of time trying to get this to work on my '17 Taco. What is important from what I can tell are the folder names (StartupImage and DisplayOffImage), the file names are alphanumeric and less than 32 characters, the file type is .jpg or .jpeg and I reformatted my thumb drive to FAT32. What finally did get Entune to recognize my images on the drive was opening the images in Microsoft Paint (running XP still) and saving the images. When I would save the images as jpg in Photoshop CS the images were not recognized by Entune on the thumb drive. PS gives a number of options when saving .jpg type images and I must have had an option selected that Entune doesn't like. It seems MS Paint has the correct option (though none are given) by default.
