Water Pooling on Floor Boards

i have seen pictures of others having issues as well.



its not just a toyota issue.

I was running wire the other day and noticed a drilled hole under the plastic kick piece next to the seat.(where all the wires run). I could see straight to the pavement. I definitely didn't do it and just now saw it after three years and having those things off many times.

It prompted me to double check around my floor. So a suggestion.... I'd pull the carpet and panels and look at night time with a light shining through from the bottom?

with all the rain and flodoing we been having in Louisiana, I finally had to fix this. I took apart the glove box, removed blower motor, and it was full of water and trash! I took the intake shroud off, low and behold Toyota royally fudged on design! the intake is an upward facing open hole any overflow drains right into the cabin! I put a piece of plastic over it, problem seems solve. anyways here is some pics from LA, you can see why I needed to solve this problem.

 

Alright gents, done some digging around and fixed my one of multiple problems. I sealed the pinch welds on both front wheel wells, passenger side no longer leaks and I would like to think that problem is done but I guess we will find out. My driver side however is another story, we are encountering 6 days of heavy down pour in San Diego and it's day 2.... my driver side is completely flooded and the truck wasn't even being driven. I removed the plastic below the windshield and checked all that, plus I checked the vents too. AC ducts ect can be checked off the list. Checked grommets under the cab and those are dry. Looked at the fire wall and there is no signs of leakage. Guessing my only other option is the windshield allowing water to come in? Keep in mind it's only the driver side and this happens when parked or being driven.
