    Hello fellow Tacoma owners!

I just purchased a 2011 Tacoma Prerunner double cab long bed a few days ago. A couple of my friends own Tacomas and I was always liked the way they handled and looked. I love my new truck, but I think I have made a mistake by purchasing a truck already lifted... The front suspension rides terrible. I am hoping to get some insight, because I am sure the members on this site have real world experience. This may be for another "thread" so I will look into other threads.

I attached a photo. The previous owner added:

    Rear: Fox Shocks
    Tires: BFG All Terrain 285/70/16

Im pretty sure the shocks are over cranked, because photos I see online of other Tacomas, do not have this much thread showing on the top. I know I can rebuild them and I found a guy to do that. I am also gonna have aftermarket UCAs put on when he does this. Does anyone have recommendations? The guy mentioned Icon and Total Chaos for UCAs he keeps in stock...

Along with the terrible ride... The tires are noisy as hell, and when I take a tight right turn on a freeway on ramp the traction control light comes on, beeps, and then hits the brakes. It's honestly unsafe feeling lol.

These are my thoughts... First, I want to get the shocks rebuilt and adjusted down to level the front down about an inch lower than the ride height now. At the same time I will have aftermarket uniball UCAs installed. Right after this I will have the alignment done to the truck. I am hoping this will be the remedy... What do you guys think?

Probably over cranked based on the pic. BFG all terrains should be pretty quiet in my experience. Wish you luck solving your issues; truck looks great!!

So, I fixed all the issues I had with the truck. I want to post on here in case someone has the same issue, but I don't know if this is the correct way to do it.

So, the issues I had were

    1. Terrible ride quality from the front end
    2. Loud hum coming from the front end
    3. On tight turns the ABS sensor would go on and lock up the brakes

I had all the fox shocks removed and put on a used set of Icon Stage 1 suspension, front and rear. I also had new Total Chaos UCAs installed. At the same time they pressed in new front wheel bearings on both sides. From extensive research I am pretty sure the wheel bearings fixed the hum and the ABS sensor problem. The ride quality was fixed because of the "properly working" Icon shocks in the front.

So, in the end. I have 4 shocks Fox Shocks for sale! haha
