    What?
My 2nd gen build title is a joke. I've already thrown in my own part of "build" aspects too. Buy, build, sell your body; to paraphrase @Large...who gives a fuck.

What makes you lean towards built? Any specific reasons ?

    It's cheaper

Whoops. Misread. It's more expensive. But self pride in your own work has no price.

buying a built vehicle saves money and time over building it yourself.

the bad thing is that its hard to find a vehicle the way you want it, you end up having to settle.

also, you dont know if the work was done right, unless you give it a 1,000 point inspection.

Let's be honest, though. "Built" means that you simply bolt on components that are designed and built for your specific truck. And for many on here, "built" means having someone else bolt on those components.

Now when "built" means that you engineered and designed the component, constructed the component, and installed the component, then that's impressive. Personally, I love to see those bumpers, sliders, light bars, etc. There are a lot of members on this forum that have some skills. My hat's off to them.

So what do you call someone who buys parts and pays someone to install them?

By your definition I fit into the hats off category. But IMO anyone who invest their own time, effort, and mechanical prowess is far higher on the totem pole than those that drop their rig off at 4wp to install their shiny new coilovers.

Anything can be done with time and lots of patience and um beer... gotta have beer mmmm :drunk:

more satisfaction comes out of working on your truck it might be a pain in the ass and take more time but you know its done right and dont have some jackass trying to complete as fast as possible.

Definitely bought my bumpers and sliders though! but my front bumper was my design i had someone make!
also did not do my headlights cause my wife wont let me bake the housing in the oven :der: but seems easy enough to do.

youtube plus beer and you can do anything!
