Well their Texas plants may be lazy

Most of their other products haven't had such continuous issues for like 10-15 years like Tacoma has

We all hope. Only, I think Toyota has slipped a little in their quality kaizen in favor of continuous marketing and risk mitigation improvement.

Hard to say, Raymond is a much smaller company than Toyota so it's easier to control and enforce.

I got forced into Kaizen at my old job and I would say it is precisely the reason why they are still shipping low. Constant Action Workouts to reduce Content and Cycle Time, if they make 200,000 Trucks and short each Truck a Half a Quart they are saving 100,000 Quarts. And then the next "Improvement" will be to reduce something else or speed up the assembly line, Quality has nothing to do with it.

makes sense honestly, even when the forklifts left the plant and went through multiple checks they still went to dealers and were gone over again to make sure everything was where it needs to be. Maybe they want their dealers to check everything and top off the fluids. Who knows...

Kaizen... ?? Our trucks are built in Mexico and south Texas (with Mexican employees). Just sayin....

The plant mgrs in both locations don't give a shit... they just saved "the company" a shit ton of money using less fluids.... you do know the cost of the tranny fluid right and gear oil and lube... all that adds up.

I think the Kaizen thing is set up so the DEALER is supposed to be the final check off....

We as Americans got our asses reamed if we messed up or forgot anything. Because field repairs cost a lot more than doing something right the first time!

You need to know the ECM and TCM calibration numbers. Get me those and I will tell you which version you have.
