Yeah it was 110 and 35% humidity up there, the second I stepped out of the truck I started sweating bad. I haven't had any issues with the MT/R's, I love these tires. 13-15psi is perfect for this trail. I haven't had a tire pinch or a debead at that pressure, even bumping up on rocks or dropping down onto rocks.

I worry more because I use "cheaper" tires typically. I worry about sidewall damage (rips) in rocks at low pressure and not popping the bead.

As far as regular flats, through the tread:
There is a sweet spot where the tire will be better able to not puncture from sharp rocks than if left at full pressure, too.

The graded roads with small sharp volcanic rocks in Baja have given me many flats when I refused to deflate to run a perfectly good 2WD dirt road. LOL

You know, the one between Gonzaga and Chapala (that is being paved now); the one to Punta San Carlos, below El Rosario; the one between L.A. Bay and San Francisquito; the one to the wells west from La Ventana (south of Mexicali) ... all come to mind.

I now drop to 20 psi on graded roads and no longer get flats from small sharp rocks.

MY new Frontrunner rack I ordered from Pelfreybilt showed up yesterday and will go on the truck tomorrow. Got the rack to go over the shell. I cycle and mountain bike a lot and with the new rear bumper I can't open the tire gate with the rear hitch Thule bike rack I have. Bikes will be mounted up on the rack now with a set of Yakima locking fork mounts. Can't wait to get off work in the morning to get it on the truck.

If anyone is interested in my Thule 2 bike 2" receiver folding bike rack it's up for sale to a local buyer. It's in great shape and is fully keyed to 1 key with a total of 5 locks. Rack will hold 2 road bikes or 2 mountain bikes and has the ability to have the extension mounted to carry a total of 4 bikes. Asking $300. If interested PM me. Local buyers only.

Took me a while, but finally got the Front Runner rack on the truck. If you're using Yakima or Thule roof rails, you have to grind the shit out of the slide nuts. Nice rack, sturdy as hell. Sorry for the shitty cell pics, all I had time for.

Trimmed 3 inches off the steel fenders and 2.5 inches off the bushwacker pocket flares. Flares were modified to bolt onto the steel fenders with stainless hardware. Now I just need to trim the rear bumper to match up with the edge of the flares and recap the ends. 315/75/16 GY MT/R's coming tomorrow.

New tires didn't happen today. Went over to have it done, when I noticed 2 out of the 5 tires were 315/70/17's. The other 3 were correct 315/75/16's. Waiting for 2 correct tires.

Got the tires installed today 315/75R16's. So far no rubbing while driving. Need to pull the coilovers to cycle the suspension to see if anymore massaging of the firewall is needed. Need to get around to cutting my rear bumper too.

If you wanted to stick with 33s forever, would a 4.10 or 4.3 ratio have been better? Was the 4.56 that bad? Or would you rather stay at 3.73?

Yeah 4.10's would have been better, maybe 4.30, haven't seen that gear ratio. With an auto and 4.56 gears, it feels a little over geared. It's not horrible and I could have lived with it since the acceleration was awesome, but I didn't care so much for how high the RPMs were at highway speeds. I've heard those with manuals say it feels perfect. Seams like Toyota geared the two different transmissions differently.
