I just bought a 1995 Tacoma and it has the large radio head unit vs. my last tacomas small one with the coin tray under it. I was wondering if their is any way to fit the smaller radio into the Tacoma I just bought with the big 6 inch radio head unit??

It should bolt right in if you have the single Din radio and the brackets the pocket just is used to fill the extra space

You should be able to reuse the stock brackets. You'll wind up with a large gap above or below the radio unless you can find a cubby or blank plate to cover it up. I replaced my double din with a single din and a cb.
