here's my 2010 at .85 and tsb,it's where i want it to be as far as rake, smooth ,confident, sporty feel,no brake dive,no booming and crashing, drives straight...if you press on the front end you can still feel some compliance with the "bounce-test"...it's not "OLDS/CADDY" soft, more like"BMW" firm...not to say that it's a match with a BMW, just trying to make a comparison between stock(bilstein 4600/3 leaf pak)the factory set-up was comfortable, but very limited on"overly rough/worn pavement",the 5100's and 4 leaf pack handles that stuff with ease and feels more confident over the same type surfaces.

kyletrdtaco12,your pictures were a big help in my final decision to go with the .85 setting....;),thanks for taking the time to post pics!for us "noobs"looking to modify our suspensions,it's a big decision, after all,the stock suspension is really nice, just limited in ability to handle anything marginally rough.i can recall going to a friends house and having to use the .5 mi.dirt uphill access road to get to his property...with the stock set-up,believe me...it was a real challenge, the suspension basically gave up....i can't see that happening with the 5100's,they've soaked up everything i've thrown at them.could they be any nicer set at .0?

Hey man you're very welcome and im happy to help, glad the pics came in handy lol :) the 5100's are one of the best and most cost effective upgrades u can do to a tacoma, the 4600's are still a monotube deaign but the 5100's are much beefier and are a real premium shock lol, and the only thing i see better about the 0'' setting is that youd never have any uca clearance issues, not that u would at the .85 setting either, it's just that at the 0'' setting leaves a modest airgap between the uca and the spring at full shock extension where as the the .85'' setting only leaves a hairline airgap between the uca and the spring at full shock extension lol. And hey man, im a noobie with tacomas too, i had cars all my life and an 2001 tundra for a few months, so we are all here to help eachother out :)

Hey man if u dont have the tsb leafs and you don't tow or hall alot in your bed often, dont get them, ur truck is perfectly level at .85 without the tsb leafs, if u get the tsb leafs that'll add 3/4 of an inch lift to the rear and u'll throw off you perfect level rake lol xD my truck is still slightly high in the back cuz i have the tsb leafs and set at .85 lol

i thought i saw a post that said"5100's give slight lift" even if set at zero,i'd imagine they might...my.85 setting gave me a bit more than i was expecting,i'm still pleased with ride characterists and rake.i'll assume i'll get a bit of settle,as time goes by, on both ends.....right now...it rides real sporty..i like that!

I have a stock rear (no AAL) and .85 is pretty close to level for me with a RC. Also guys, don't forget to adjust your headlights even at .85...you'll blind the hell out of people if you don't.

it will settle, but the settling will be near unnoticeable lol, and that ride quality will remain, like ive said b4, i had installed the 5100's about 5 months ago and they are still great, im really enjoying the upgrade

oh damn, and i thought the reason ppl were forever flashing their lights at me was because for my silverstar ultras lol, and yeah, the rake looks different on every model truck, the Regular Cab's tend to look more level because of the shorter wheelbase, but the Access Cab and double cab you tend to notice the rake more because of their longer wheelbase characteristic lol

About to put 5100s on my 15 w/o the tsb. I never noticed that my truck doesn't sit level. I don't know if I can tell a difference at .85.
I also don't want to lift my rear end much, but I want to stiffen it up so I don't have a more nose-up when I load my bed. AAL is the most obvious but I don't want to add lift. Maybe an inch at the most! Any recommendations?

if your truck has the 4 leaf rears(3 + overload) then you already have the updated version..@ .85,you should still have some rake(at worst you'll be level at that setting)the 5100's will out preform the stockers anyday(imho) so it's basically a "win/win" for you.

5100 settings,0.0,.85,1.75,2.5...I've been running these shocks for years,at my setting, there hasn't been any need for upper control arms as my alingments have always been spot-on...I wouldn't choose the 5100 0ver the 6112 if I had a "do-over"!
