add a leaf vibration

    Hello i have developed a vibe after installing an add a leaf on my 2012 dc lb 4x4 and have so far used the ome carrier bearing drop which did not fix it can you add more to the carrier bearing drop or just go for the axle shims the carrier bearing drop is 1/4 so far thanks again.

    Think of the forward shaft as part of the transmission or transfer case. The forward u-joint needs >.5-1° just so it will spin the needles.

    You need to correct the pinion angle to match the middle angle.
    2-Piece driveshaft will always have some kind of vibe because it has an odd number of u-joints. It can be minimized though.

    Thanks your description helped clear things up alot checked the blocks I replaced with the add a leaf they are 1 1/4 and are tapered so I got 1/2 more lift and took out the angle on the pinion thanks

    hopefully the below picture helps. it doesn't matter what the angle of the trans is as long as the rear end matches it. The important part is that the front drive shaft is perfectly inline with the trans. When you do this it's like the first drive shaft isn't even there and normal drive shaft geometry applies. To get the first drive shaft lined up you can shim the trans mount and the carrier bearing up or down.
