We are at 36 days of snow and ice on the ground in the Columbia River Gorge. Zero issues getting around with the BFG KO2 tires. We don't use salt in Oregon so our streets are packed snow and ice.

We all know Tacoma's have notoriously sensitive ABS in the ice. I have not experienced any premature ABS engagement on snow/ice with these tires. The Dungflops were a different story. I've hit ABS intentionally to see how it felt and simply releasing the brakes and reapplying to the threshold safely brought the truck to a stop.

I hit 20k on my 305/65r18 on my Tundra, still look great! No problems towing a lot in the Az heat either.

Does anyone have the load inflation table for KO2s? My google-fu is failing me right now. I'll be coming from the stock Kevlars (SL i believe) on 3rd gens and want to know what PSI to run in the KO2s to match the load rating I had before. I'm assuming around 40psi without looking at the tables.

Need to know the size you are running. And the tables are not brand or model specific.

Hmmm... I don't think there is a LT275/75R16. There is a LT265/75R16 and a LT275/70R16. Did you mean one of those?

Some relevant inflation tables below. Note that P and LT tables for the same size are different. Note that Toyota puts the TRD Pro LT door sticker a bit higher than interpolation from the stock P tires would imply. The load tables for LT265/75 and LT275/70 are very close as you can see. I don't have a load table for LT275/75 but as mentioned I don't think KO2 comes in that size.

Tables are identical regardless of load rating (C/D/E all use the same table for a given size). Also standard across all brands. All that matters is the size and if it is LT or P.

    Hope this helps!

I'm having a hard time deciding between 255/85/16 Cooper ST Maxx and 33/10.50/15 BFG Ko2. Running them on a 1st gen DC 4wd. I have 1 set of stock TRD 16's and some 96 stock 15's. Anyone have a mounted measurement on a Tacoma? Don't really wanna do a lot of trimming, but if I order either of these I've got $1000 in tires and I'm wanting to be happy with my purchase!!

I don't have any experience with the ST Maxx, but I do with the KO2. I like them enough that I'm getting a second set on my new wheels. Anyways, that size KO2 is a load range C at roughly 51 lbs per tire. It's going to be a bit lighter than the 255/85/16 ST Maxx load range E which I believe are 58-60 lbs. Just something to think about if you are comparing those two. I can't help you out with how much trimming may be required.

Thanks @yeos. All you said above is true. Trimming is no big deal, my concern is I'll spend $1000 on a set of 5 and not like em. I only put around 8,000 miles a year on my Tacoma so they should last for more than 5 yrs. That's a long time to have a disappointing tire. I'd like to go 255 so I can get 16" TRD gray simulated beadlock wheels !! But like the 33 10.50 ko2 for the weight difference

I just bought Pro Comp 69's(17x9) and BFG KO2 275/65R17 Load range E. Is load Range E to heavy of a tire for my 2012 TRD crew cab long bed. Has anybody had problems with Load Range E KO2's? Also, what do I do about the tire sensors? I don't want the low tire light on all the time.

Same here. I've got 275 load E KO2s on my FJ and they ride just fine. Sure I notice a difference going back and forth from the wife's 5th gen T4R with P rated coopers, but set the tire pressure correctly and they'll be fine.
IIRC when I had them mounted they got set at like 48 psi which was wayy too much. Just do a chalk test and they'll feel much nicer.

Mine say 80 psi max. Should I run them that low? I'm still not sure what to do about the tire pressure sensors.
