I handled one today at a local outdoor store, the SBE3 is everything you wanted out of the SBE2. If you own a SBE2 then you know what I'm talking about. The very few minor nuances with the SBEII have been corrected/redesigned on the III. For 2k I might hold out a little bit but honestly I waited years to buy my SBEII and regret ever waiting so we will see around tax time lol. One thing I didn't ask or check out was the shell capacity... rumors on Facebook are that it can't hold anymore then 3 shells so I'll be returning to find out. The case it comes in is way better then the old one and the extra chokes is an added bonus. I may just hold out for the optifade timber version

I figured this was the case, anything wrong with the SBEII, even very small, had been fixed. Saw a video and the bolt has been redesigned so no more benelli click. Anyone know the weight?

The weights are nearly identical I believe. Meaning the gun must balance very well.

About .3 lb difference according to specs but it feels like even more.

Tough morning. Our spot we planned to hunt had roosting Canadas on it. We were waiting for them to spook and get up or for shooting time so we could try to sneak and water smack them. 15 minutes before LST the ducks start dumping in so we left it for tomorrow morning. High tailed it to another farm and was able to salvage the morning and scratch out 6 Mallards.

Pretty typical morning for us. Muddy, curious cows and future duck slayers.

Ended duck season with right at 85 birds. Still have another two weeks to get after the Canadas.

3 of the 13 Canadas we knocked down Saturday morning made it in to the dehydrator tonight.

Anyone interested in getting in on a GB for Surecycle recoil systems and Patternmaster chokes?

Not interested in the Sure Cycle but I could use a new choke.

The patternmaster choke is pretty damn cool.. I don't usually get excited about gear but I shoot a Briley LM choke with Rio 3", #3, 1550fps. My shot string is about 12-14' long @ 45 yards. My buddy shooting the same load and same shotgun using a patternmaster classic long range, his shot string is about 7-9' long at the same 45 yards.. He was crushing mallards out past 60 yards. I was able to hit them out at 60 but it was 50/50 if I would cripple them.

My brother shoots an extended range and I've seen him hit some really long shots before.

How did you or do you measure shot string? @azgunrunner
