    Pretty sure the point of that exercise wasn't about efficiency... ;)

    The other thing that crossed my mind was that he'd be liable for any damage caused to the vehicle. People's litigiousness would likely dissuade me from doing the same.

    Now a shopping cart and a 35" zip tie through a door handle or the grill however...

    Probably a wise choice. Maybe Georgia is an exception, but here intentionally causing $500 or more in damage is a felony. Official Code of Georgia § 16-7-23 Surprisingly easy to hit that threshhold when you figure in labor costs to repair stuff.
