check out the video on "safe drying" here: http://adamspolishes.com/video

Use a good ph-neutral shampoo for washing, then lightly mist your car with a good detail spray while drying with a QUALITY microfiber waffle weave towel. Avoid Chamois and water blades... they're just inviting little scratches.

Any chance you can take a picture of your truck to show the paint and see if there are any swirl or scratch marks? I'm curious as I believe the absorber will show scratches with your black paint.

How can you not have a camera or cell phone with camera and have a 3rd gen truck? Pictures you show from the dealer taking pictures is far away. From that distance a dirty truck would look good unless it was caked on with mud. Point I'm trying to make is that from 6ft away or not having good vision, you think you don't have scratches...so I wanted to see if the absorber that works so well doesn't scratch a black color truck.

Your wax as u dry product.. while it can provide a lubricant. You use the same absorber to pick up the wax as you dry product? So it's just that one absorber used to clean the top of the truck as well as the bottom of the truck and the wheels too? How is it not going to eventually scratch your paint.

Bird poop is a killer on clear coat...if you con't remove it at a reasonable time, it can etch the paint permanently.

I suggest you follow the procedures what professional detailers do when they clean their clients vehicles including high end sport cars. They don't use the absorber and such.

After years of trying to avoid siwrls and micro-scratches from using everything from bath towels, to chamois, to micro-fiber towels I finally investied in a "Metro Air Force Master Blaster". I'd tried using my leaf blower but it's bulky size was a hassle. I'm very happy with the Master Blaster. It takes a bit longer than using with a towel but well worth the results. Expensive, yes. I say it was "too expensive and well worth every penny." Very well built with a nice long hose so it's easy to manuever along all areas of the vehicle especially the roof.

Get a foam lance cannon and you're set. Just be careful in some of the moulding. compressed air can lift the adhesive...it's happens with the window cowl. Very nice though, but leaf blower is for sure heck of a lot cheaper.

Disclaimer: i detail for a living and shit but I have no idea what I'm saying most of the time.

Microfiber madness dry me crazy towel after using the pooling rinse method is excellent at minimizing scratching.

Best way period is air. I would not use a gas blower personally. Too much potential for exhaust to get on the paint. An electric leaf blower, or best case a airforce master blaster is the best option. Although your car and paint have to be in the shade and very cool for it not to dry too quickly.

I generally do a pooling rinse and there is so little left on the car that I dab the remaining water with the dry me crazy towel and I'm golden.
