Does anyone currently have this set-up? I know people on here hate on DB lifts, but I don't climb rock walls and just want height. Are there any coilovers I can run with this lift? I feel like those giant spacers will ride like crap. And are there any leaf packs you can run with a shackle flip that will give you 4-5 inches of lift in the back as opposed to running on blocks?

The spacers really don't affect the ride. A drop bracket lift basically keeps all of the suspension geometry the same as stock, so the ride stays basically the same as stock. You can add in coilovers for better performance, and some of the coilover manufacturer do offer long versions to eliminate the drop spacer if desired as well.

Awesome, thanks. Do you know if every brand of coilover will fit with the rough country lift?

I've seen fox have some coilovers that go with the BDS lift and I've seen people run them on the fabtech lift, I wonder if they'll fit the rough country lift just to eliminate the front spacer lift

That's really what I want to find out. The BDS, pro comp, etc have some options for 6" coilovers. But considering people like the RC kits and they are way cheaper, I wonde rif you can get those and throw on some real coilovers with it

They'll fit. FOX 883-02-044 is made for Tacoma 4-5" kit. I have those under my FJ with Rough Country 6" kit: https://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forums/5702450-post58.html

Edit: I have lowered it to lift only 4”. Works just nicely.

What kind of springs did you use?

3x16” Eibachs, 600 lbs. These came installed with those coilovers.

Assuming you have a 2006-2015 Tacoma with a RC drop bracket, yes. Although, you must use stock springs. The RC kit doesn't really let you lift much higher than 6". I used to run OME 887 springs with these shocks but they were much too stiff because of the frame bumpstops. Stick with the stock spring.

Here is my truck with bilstein shocks all around with stock springs in the front.

I've seen that vid. Truth be told, there isn't really a "good" drop bracket system. I've had fabtech, procomp, and BDS 6" kits on my various Tacoma's and I've had my share of issues with them all. That guy in the video seems to be a complete tool who should stay far away from any truck. That being said, the RC kit isn't the best or the worst, although for the price it's very competitive. I installed the kit myself and the process was a breeze, not a bad kit

the rc lifts get bad reps but mine is just fine..im only trying to add some coilovers so its a little more capable and a little smoother, also wanting to get new UCA's what do you guys recommend? I know quite a bit of them but cant makeup my mind. hopefully someday ill be able to just straight axle it with tons but that's just a dream..and a big check book. if you guys could give me a specific link to what fox coilovers will fit that will be awesome! also what rear leafs are you running with your 6 inch kits? I wanna get rid of the blocks :spending:

I agree, 6" kits are mostly for height. Any serious off road guy sticks to 3" of lift. I've found that my U
Nice man. I dont have adjustable coilovers but I do have full length shocks. Bilstein makes a full length 5100 series shock for 6" applications. I would go with the SPC Light racing UCA's. They are adjustable and can accommodate the steeper angles the stock UCA cant. As for rear springs, Alcan makes a nice set, but they are pricey. 1400 shipped to hawaii if I remember correctly. Any adjustable coilover of your choice should work just fine (someone chime in on this please) as long as it is intended for a 6" application. It would only be a matter of cranking then to achieve your desired height.
