I had a tri fold hard cover, but I sold it.

Would have been handy Friday going to Houston with all the luggage and Tacoma Parts I had...

You should think about getting a roll up one. Best of both worlds. Full bed space when you need it, covered when you need that.

It gives me a waterproof and secure 6" long trunk.

I can fit a lot ofmshit back there.

Also, improves the empeegees because you don't get that unstable cyclonic behind the cab.

I currently use a bakflip g2 it folds up all the way to the back window so you gain your whole bed when you want it or lay it flat for waterproof bed.

Sounds like my last trip there as well. 580 and 680 had more pot holes and "patch work" done that a washed out dirt road would be more comfortable to drive on!

Well, with bars above the cover, you can get one of those baskets and waterproof cargo bags.

.....ya, that's the only reason I can think of for using both at the same time.

That's a good point. We have a soft cover and a hard cover cargo carrier down at my parents they would let me have. But by the time I go bed bars and a cargo rack I might as well go with something like the KB Voodoo full height Bed Rack.

And I've gone cross eyed again thinking it to death lol.
