Bump, and personal reviews/experiences with Baertrax or Smith Offroad? Looking to get some 4.88s installed in the future.

Baertrax has a new owner since last year, probably the same top notch technicians though. You pay for that name.

I did see the current owner wreck a SAS FJ they had just finished at Jambo last year.

Talk to Tandem Automotive or @tgormtx at Red Dirt Off-road about gears and install.

x2 vote on Tandem Auto. Pablo, Brandon, and Alex are amazing. They've done my suspension, CMC, and alignment on my 2016 and will be doing my 4.88 gears also later this year when I go up to 35's. IMG_8076.jpg

I can definitely hook people up with gears. I'm a direct reseller for Nitro gear. If you want to bundle with some air lockers, we can figure out a bundle price. We can source ARB, OX Locker and I think TJM.

As for gear install, Tandem can help you out. They did the gear upgrade on the Red Dirt 100-series.

Danger Close Off-road does a phenomenal job and doesn't take advantage of you. Jeremy is a veteran and has an enormous passion for off-roading and desert racing. He can do anything for you and will beat all the competitors and give you 10 times better quality. He can also get you absolutely any part you need.

    Anyone seen my wallet?
I wont be giving baertrax any of my money. Called to discuss 4x4 conversion, whoever i spoke with was incredibly rude and basically said they werent interested in my money. Sent an email to tandem and they were more then willing to entertain the idea.

Pablo at Tandem loves a good project. And he's a bit of a perfectionist. He got to play with my supercharged truck and had fun. My Harrop e-lockers were number 1 and 2 for him, but he had done plenty of ARB air lockers. I'll take anything there.

FYI I just got a text back from Dave @ Trailworx and he said, "I'm not doing any new projects for a while I'm taking some time off for a little while. Sorry"

I also reached out to Danger Close, and also to Late Apex Fabrication in Ft. Worth, and am waiting to hear back from both of them.

So any other DFW fabricator recommendations out there besides those previously mentioned in this thread? Just need some steel tube bent up for headlight/grille hoops for a steel plate bumper, and an addition to an 5052 aluminum skid plate welded on as well.

Do you already have the bumper made?

Pablo/Tandem is doing tube work now. Idk about aluminum skid welding.
