What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Step by step instructions with photos please. I'm thinking about designing something like this for the cab.

I got pulled over on base while driving with my fog lights on, it was raining at the time. They told me I wasn't allowed have them on except during inclement weather, of course I had to say its raining, isn't that inclement weather. They gave me a warning, I keep driving with my fogs on all the time because its always so dark on the bases at night.

 

haha only security forces. Yea if my headlights are on so are my fog lights, but not necessarily vice versa. Sometimes especially early morning just my fog lights suffice..and it looks badass too haha

 

I didn't take any photos when I was making it, but the gist is I used a piece of flat steel bar, drilled holes in it, and bolted it together.

The sides are 1/8x1.5" steel (in retrospect, I should have used angle iron for more strength, it's strong enough as-is for what I'll use it for, but not ideal), the round cross bars are 1" conduit. To attach them to the side rails, I used plumbing end caps that fit inside them. Then everything got painted with Rustoleum spray-on bedliner.

The rack I started with was a VanTech J1000.

Got old school cup holder in mail and just got the call my katzkin install is done. Sucks my gf don't get off work till 3:30. I want to see my seats now. I'll post pics when I get it.

I Just added the cup holder. I missed having it! Post some pictures of the leather upgrade when finished. I also added leather seats and it's my favorite interior Mod!

I would have but I found a deal on ebay on some light grey ones that I couldn't pass up. Only $450 shipped for all the covers brand new. Guy said he didn't like the color and waited too long to return them.

 

That's probably the color gray that would have came from the factory. It'll look good! Awesome deal man!! You'll like it!
