I just painted my rims black to go on my silver Tacoma.
My buddy that is mounting the new Cooper's on my rims, asked me,,"white letters out, or in"?
I said white letters out. of course...he said, "that figures, you're still stuck in the 80s"
So my question is.....what do you think...
    white letters out or in??

In! Who has time to keep those white letters white and bright?

My last set of tires, the tire installer asked me what way I wanted them. I looked at him, then looked at my truck. he looked at how dirty the truck was and said "I just answered my own question" I said "yep, you know what way they go"

I usually prefer to have the letters facing in, but I have seen a ton of wheel/tire/truck combos where letters out looks great too.

When I get my next set of tires....Letters out!

TRD beadlock wheels and KO2s white letters out is sexy as hell.

In for me. I had the dealer flip them as part of the final negotiation. I could not stand the thought of going 70k miles with those crappy BFG blocky letters out.

ive always been a white letters out type of guy. Then, i purchased dedicated snow tires this year and didnt have a choice, its only black. i have to say with black truck and silver rims, black out looks best. Im a convert now. I think this can be on a truck by truck basis though. I personally dont like black rims, and maybe i would want to break it up. One things for sure though, no matter how hard you try, eventually those white letters will be yellow and awful looking

BFGs KO & KO2s look sweet with the white letters. I had kos white letters out in my 02 Ranger FX4 & recently had ko2s with the black wall out on my 07 Colorado z71. I guess im a sucker for both

I'll take white out now. Guy mounting them talked me into it, I'm happy.

I have the letters out on my Dynapros.

However, one thing I've learned is if you do a lot of off roading with your rig (or rub on the curb when you park...), having the white letters out is a bad idea because as you take chunks out of the sides of the tires and rub on stuff it shows a lot more and makes the tires look bad.

To me it is all about the owner. Each has their own preference. Personally I go white letters in because I get my truck dirty a lot, and I don't want to burn the time required to keep that white clean all the time. lol

To each their own of course...

Personally I don't view my vehicle as an advertising billboard for various vendors and manufacturers. I have grudgingly left a few Toyota emblems on the truck. Anyone who cares what tires I have can read the raised letters fine. And anyone who cares about tires would probably recognize the KO2 tread by sight anyway ;) Definitely white in for me:
