I just picked up a set of 265 75 16 c loads. On my super accurate home scale, the one I weighed was 42.2 lbs. Seems lighter than it should be. I will weigh my stock spare, since it has full tread, when it gets pulled off for comparison.

No problem. I was fruitlessly searching for the weight prior to buying. I don't know why walmart doesn't publish them.

So these are actually a couple pounds lighter than Duratracs...??!! That and being cheaper might be the deciding factor here.. Every pound counts for the 2.7l of pure adrenalin im runnin' ..!!

If I were to make a bet I would put my money on them being the exact same weight as Duratracs.

I have a set of 265/75/16C for a year or so with 10k miles now, and wanted to post my opinion on them.
Been running them at 32 psi. Have been rotated once.

They perform really well, in pretty much any situation, rain, snow, not had them in much mud, but they do decent in moderate mud so far.

    BUT.........
I am very surprised I dont see one major complaint here from you guys....
    They are LOUD !!!!!!!!
So loud, that I am getting sick of it, and thinking about dishing out money just to replace them, even though I only have about 10k miles on them.
I have ran mud tires that are quieter than these. My 35" BFG KM2s on my Jeep JK are not even HALF this loud.
Literally, my 2 door 2013 Jeep JK, with hard top, lift, and 35" BFG KM2s, isnt half as loud at 70mph as my 2011 Taco.

The stock spare weighed in at 36.6 lbs on my home scale, compared to 42.4 for the authorities, for comparison sake. The authorities are 75 series, vs 70 stock, so that accounts for some of the weight. Any way, thought I'd share.

And yes, these are significantly louder than the stock tires.

not overly loud IMHO... I have driven a lot of different tires and after well over 100k miles driven on several sets of authoritys on multiple vehicles they are about average on loudness of any reasonably aggressive all terrains I have run...

if they are cupped due to a bad alignment or overzealous cornering they get pretty noisy tho -nearly on par with a B2 bomber noise level lol...

My 31x10.5x15's are quieter with 20k miles on them. I run them at 34-35psi on my RC 2.7. They do exceptionally well in mud. I have no complaints and they have not worn at all.

Specific circumstance FYI-I have an Icon stage 3 lift, Weathertech flaps, and running a +1 tire (265/75r16). I get a rub on the inside of the flaps on the inside front tire when cranked either way.

No rubs in any other situation.

I have Authorities on my OR running 265/75/16C on SR oem dark satin alloys. I have 1.5" extra lift on front with no rubbing, are you running stock rims or aftermarket, if your on stock rims with spacers that maybe the rubbing problem.

Stock wheels, no spacers. There wouldn't be any rubbing if I didn't have the weathertech flaps. They are the issue, and they can be trimmed. So it's not a big deal.

Joined TW in 2015 but finally doing stuff to my truck.. I am really thinking of ordering these for my 15 Tacoma. I will be getting the 265/75/16, already have my new pro comp rims and a 3 inch lift kit(Installing all at once). Nervous about the noise level, are they that bad? I use my truck everyday City/highway and occasionally off road/dirt roads. Also towing a 1800lb boat on some weekends, are they ok with towing??

I like the tire roar. Makes my ringing ears not so bad. I haven't towed a bunch with them but I've been more than happy .
My mpg dropped but I drive around on my few acres alot so glad I have them.

Babied it on the way into town today (I also drove the back roads and not the interstate) and got way better MPG than normal, pretty happy with it for having a plate bumper, winch, and load range E tires.
Tires have gotten a little louder but they're wearing great (I need to rotate them due to light wear on the front tires caused by heavy cornering).
